DJ SysT3m brings the heat with his diverse style of mixing. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey SysT3M acquired a unique style of mixing listening to some of the best DJs like Tony Humphries, Timmy Regisford, Larry Levan, Tee Scott, Merlin Bob and many more.
DJ SysT3M is from the old school house era days - Newark, New Jersey, Club Zanzibar days. I started out at the age of 17. At that time, I was only doing pauses with a tape deck and one turntable. He got his first set of Technique 1200 DJ turntables when he was 18 1/2 years old.
As DJ SysT3M grew up he did mobile parties and played at Club America, Orange Peal, Marlo's, and a few other smaller places. He had a big desire to produce his own beats and tracks so he moved into doing electronic MIDI recording. Although he created some nice tracks, he hasn’t been able to do anything with them because raising 3 kids was not easy and he had to stop playing music for a while until now. Presently, DJ SysT3M is going strong with mixing and networking with other DJs, promoters and people of same interests and hopes to become known in this industry as a great music mixing performer/music producer.
Some inspirations DJ SysT3M had growing up are DJ Merlin Bob, Timmy Regisford, Tony Humphries, Larry Patterson, T. Scott, Larry Levan, and Darryl James to mention a few. And, without these great DJs and promoters, creating house music coming up he thinks house music would not be the same, so he adds, “thanks for keeping House Music alive.”
