Jose G., is New York City's best-kept secret!  Born and raised in Manhattan's Lower East Side, he was exposed very early to many different cultures, backgrounds and forms of dance, as well as a wide variety of music.  By age 5, he was introduced to Boogaloo, Salsa, Soul, Funk, Jazz and Rock.  

Jose was brought into this scene by his older sister at age 12.  He didn't know how to dance the Hustle, and curiousity led him to gravitate toward the afro-headed DJ playing vinyl.  The next day found Jose placing two record players together, and experimenting with records his sister owned...it was Love at First Mix! 

Jose "grew up" experiencing such DJs as Gypsy (Starship:  Discovery One), Rene Hewitt (Inferno), Walter Gibbons (12 West), Jay Stewart & Tee Scott (Melons), Nicky Siano & Kenny Carpenter (Studio 54), David Mancuso (The Loft), and his biggest inspiration, the legendary Larry Levan (Paradise Garage).  

To this day, Jose is moved by music rich in melody, which moves you, inspires you, lifts one's soul.  His sets are eclectic.  Depending on where he's spinning, he shares his collection of Rare Groove, Garage, Deep House, Jazz, Soul, Latin, Minimal & Deep Tech.

Jose has spun in such venues as Avenue C Garage, Chap-n-Rusty, Espresso Bar, Henrietta Hudson, Limelight, Two I's, Bang The Party, Da Spot, S. O. S. Studios, Cheetah, Glass, Melting Pot & Soulgasm.

But as important, Jose G. wishes to continue sharing his World of Music with countless others.
