Mr. “G” of “Mark IV Disco" has been the tri-states area premier DJ organization since1970. This is the home of legendary DJs, "DJ Ray Jenkins", "DJ Qasim", "DJ  Saleem", "DJ Wakil" ,"DJ Woodstock", "DJ Shakim", "DJ Rashid", "DJ Warren", "DJ Ms Penny 'PJ' Jones", "DJ Calvin Motley", "DJ Kenny Butts", "DJ Mr Slim", "DJ Brother Big"  and "DJ Eric 'Brisco' Cohen", and "DJ Mr. G".
 
For those of you who are not familiar with Mark IV Disco, we  pioneered such venues at "The Terrace Ballroom"," The Ebony Manor"," The Coronet", "The Latin Casino"," The Robert Treat"," Abe's Disco" before it became "The Club Zanzibar", the first "Doc's", "Cosmo's", "The Sear's Building", "The Paradisio", "Sonny Oliver's", and The Touch of Class" just to name a few. In addition, we were the first organization to pioneer such shows and club classics as Double Exposure  with their hits" Newsy Neighbor's"," Every Man", " My Love is Free", and " Ten Percent".  We, also, were the first organization to showcase, Ms Evelyn " Champagne" King singing her hits," Shame”, "I Don't Know If It's Right "  and many more of her hits.  Plus, we brought Jimmy Brisco and the Little Beavers singing their hit "Ebony Princess". These venues took place in the city of Newark, NJ," Terrace Ballroom" and "Ebony Manor”.

Mark IV Disco was also the first organization to bring such club classics from First Choice, "Love Thang", "Dr Love", and "Let No Man Put Us Under".  In addition to, Melba Moore and her hits "You Stepped Into My Life", "Pick Me Up”, and “I'll Dance" to name a few.  The organization had legendary venues with DJ organizations such as," Butchie and Hippie's Traveling Disco Sounds", "Johnnie Disco", "Dance Machine", "B Square", and "Cherry Giblet".

DJ Mr. "G" have been DJing since the age of seven (the early 70's).  He’s played well over 3000 venues and was taught how to DJ by the owners of "Mark IV Disco", his  uncle, H.R. Edwards , his partner Mr. Carl Boyd and also by such legendary  Djs such as, "DJ Mr. Slim", "DJ Brother Big"," DJ Eric" Brisco "Cohen".  When he first started DJing there were no pitch controls on the turntables, and had to speed the records up or slow it down with your fingers. These turntables were made by Thorens, which were the preferred turntables for DJing back in the 70s.
